Bernie's Pizza
While the show thus-far has never had any official sponsorship (we're looking at you, Triscuit), when Koop found out one of his favorite family-owned local pizza places was reopening their doors back in July of 2019 (after a multi-year hiatus), Koop reached out to the owner to try to explain what GFtDS is and discuss an interest in adding the Bernie's brand to the show to help Bernie's advertise their small, but absolutely amazing, pizza parlor. For context, Bernie's Pizza originally opened back in 1970 and was a staple in the community for over 45 years. When they reopened in 2019, ownership was handed over to Bernie's nephew, as he had worked along side his uncle for years back in the 70's, and Bernie at that point was enjoying retirement (although he was still spotted from time to time working the pizza ovens until his unfortunate passing in 2023). The new owner was open to Koop's suggested arrangement, and the Bernie's branding was added to the show's credits, Rasslemania mats, and even (for a short time) the show's pre-show countdown. For years, Koop helped support this small business, and even his daughter got her first job at Bernie's. For several years, (especially before Covid hit, when everyone would meet at Koop's house for the show) Koop would frequently pick up some pizza from Bernie's for people on the show to enjoy before (and in many cases, during) the livestream. Sadly, after six glorious years of deliciousness, on July 16th, 2025 the owner of Bernie's announced on Facebook that due to budgetary reasons, he was having to close up shop. Koop kept the Bernie's logo in the show credits and on the Rasslemania mats long after the close of the business in honor of their legacy, but may one day phase it out as the phone number on their logo could easily be misleading.
