In January 2022, Koop and Jason put together a special event titled "GFtDS Rasslemania." This feature of the show has since become a significant part of Games From the Drunk Side. Combining the excitement of live (digitally simulated) professional wrestling with the involvement of viewers and hosts, Rasslemania has taken on a life of its own.
The premise is simple: selected regular viewers and the show’s hosts are invited into a simulated, self-running competition. Participants can customize the look of their own "rassler," including choosing an entrance song (which Koop cleverly avoids copyright flags for by recreating in an absolutely horrible a cappella rendition). Rasslers face off in various matches, and every three months the show hosts a special "Rasslemania" event where the coveted SIPs Championship Title is on the line.
After each Rasslemania (usually the week following the main event), a draft is held to divide active rasslers into divisions. In the weeks that follow, inter-divisional qualification matches narrow the field to sixteen competitors, who then advance to the next Rasslemania. Between the qualifiers and the following event, there are "just-for-funsies" matches almost every week in a segment called "Saturday Night RARE."
